Square, with no identification other than the Gretsch name top and bottom. It's on a 3-piece shell pack where the (out-of-town for me) seller doesn't know what they have, and bought them used.

Presently, I think I’m going to steer away from the big guys because of the supply chain issues and the escalating prices. Hopefully we get on a better path soon.

WEBJul 22, 2020 · I own a USA Custom 12/14/18 and a couple of vintage kits. I’ve also played many Gretsch kits on the road (I have Gretsch listed as my first choice on my backline rider.) In my experience, Brooklyn sound very close to USAs. The main difference is the 302 hoops - they feel very different and make the toms slightly less focused.

WEBAug 15, 2024 · 540. Reaction score. 608. I played Gretsch for decades. Canopus for the last 5 or 6 years. I'm not going back. Canopus has consistently great QC, so none of the Gretsch QC-roulette. The drums sound great, the hardware is sensible and solid. I've had NV60-M1s, RFMs, Ash and Yaiba, all with 18, 16 or 15 inch bass drums.

I've never had my hands on drums with that system though and occasionally have seen people say here they've worked ok for them. But with that in mind, sizes, wrap, I'm gonna say $800 in value.
